Noticed an article on nhl.com that shows Restricted and Unrestricted Free Agents still available. Clearly most teams are pretty much set going into camp right now. But there are some intriguing names out there:
Here are the Unrestricted FAs, and I've bolded a couple names that are interesting to me for one reason or another. Just to be clear: I don't think we'll be signing any of these players, and I'm not necessarily advocating that we do so.

Hey Nick, sorry to put this in a comment on another post, but couldn't figure out how to email you. I saw in your first post that you are a Center Ice subscriber. I have been debating this all summer. My question is, should I fork over the whatever-it-is ($150-200) for Center Ice, or should I subscribe to all the Dish Network sports channels, which is basically all the regional Fox outlets, plus the odd New England Sports Network here and the Mid-west network there. On the one hand, the Sports Package is only about $6 per month, but I would be at the mercy of catching whoever happened to be on that night (Flyers on the Philly outlet, maybe Stars on Fox SW, etc.). Plus whatever is on Versus and the painfully few NBC Saturday games. Center Ice is way more expensive, but I would have way more choices. Anyone's thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Daron - No worries with the OT...
Here's how I justify Center Ice (and I've bought it the past five seasons):
For the $150 or so that it costs I watch probably 5-10 complete games a week, plus parts of another 20 or so.
I watch about 70 Wild games a season from start to finish (factor in the odd scheduling conflict and there are a *couple* that are not on Center Ice).
But even just the 5-10 complete games a week gets you your money's worth - in ONE WEEK - from the standpoint that if you went to a Stars game up in Dallas you'd pay $35+ for one ticket. Plus parking, food, etc you're easily looking at $50 per person - minimum.
I think it's a great way to watch a lot of hockey. They also throw in some coverage of the World Junior Tournament around the holidays, and you get coverage of the first two rounds of the playoffs.
To me, as someone who is going to watch the hockey one way or another, it's a steal.
Weinhandl signed with LHC in Sweden, so he's probably not available.
I suspect Selanne will retire. I would if I were him.
