Back door shenanigans and cronyism are nothing new to the NHL and it's checkered history of swashbuckling, swindling owners. And now, as Henry Samueli of the Anaheim Ducks is suspended indefinitely by Commissioner Bettman for being brought up on charges of lying to the SEC, it turns out that the Wild's own fledgling owner, Craig Leipold, may be the latest in a long line of n'er-do-wells to grace the NHL's ownership luxury boxes.

Whether or not supplementary action is to be taken by the NHL against Messers Leipold and Anschutz remains to be seen. Meanwhile, I'm sure Bettman and Co are thinking that the distraction of the Free Agency season opener can't come fast enough.
And the NHL wonders why it's fallen out of the top four pro sports leagues in America...

This off season sucks, TBH.
It really does for Wild fans. Hopefully the brain trust has gotten the message and will be aggressive on July 1 or it's going to be a l-o-n-g season in 2008-09.
Sign somebody GOOD, will ya guys?
If DR pulls any crap like he did at the trade deadline, I might end up shooting myself. Just sayin'.
there is certainly an additional amount of apprehension involved with this offseason, that hasn't been there before.
Big month coming up for DR.
Wow, I go out of town for a week and so much goes down! It's like the a circus around the NHL right now...
