Backstrom good. Latendresse good. Pens power play beyond putrid. Gonchar hit not nice.
That's your effing recap. I'm surprised my head hasn't exploded over how bad the Penguins power play is. It's historically bad. Not only does it not score, but the opposition often scores a minute or two after a Pittsburgh advantage ends. Ugh. It's not just against the Wild either, so while I'm sure the Minnesota penalty killers did a good job, this has been a problem all season against everyone.
This is the only other thing I have to share:

Wow, I never really realized how embarrassing that game 6 was. I was all of 9 at the time.
It is also amazing to see just how different the game was then. Goal tending was terrible. Maybe it was just Casey. Much slower game too.
But to speak about the present, the Wild got it done tonight. Gui is a monster and this team would not be in the place it is today had Fletcher not made that trade. Great night for the Wild. That's 2-0 Wild on the season vs Pitt.
Still love ya, Kevin.
I hate you both. But yes, the Wild got it done and the Penguins didn't, so well done.
