Saturday's schedule

New Jersey (8-15-2) at Philadelphia (15-7-4), 1 p.m. ET

Not often you see games where one team has nearly double the points of the other (though we'll see a lot with the Islanders.)

Philadelphia 5, New Jersey 1

San Jose (12-8-4) at Montreal (16-8-2), 2 p.m., RDS

The Sharks don't really have a long list of wins over quality teams this season. Maybe that'll change.

Montreal 3, San Jose 2

Buffalo (10-13-3) at Ottawa (11-14-1), 7 p.m., CBC

This is a fairly ugly matchup but it might not be the worst one of the night.

Ottawa 3, Buffalo 1

Pittsburgh (17-8-2) at Columbus (14-9-1), 7 p.m.

Sidney Crosby's on fire. The bad news: The Blue Jackets should be stinging after Friday's embarrassment and come out with a message to send.

Pittsburgh 4, Columbus 2

Boston (14-8-2) at Toronto (8-12-4), 7 p.m., NHL Network

I dunno, does Tuukka Rask get a chance to bolster his confidence against the Maple Leafs? With Tim Thomas making 78 saves on 79 shots in his last two games, I'd doubt it.

Boston 3, Toronto 1

Atlanta (13-10-3) at Washington (18-7-2), 7 p.m.

Congratulations on your six-game winning streak, Atlanta. Here's Pittsburgh and Washington back-to-back to see how good you really are.

Washington 5, Atlanta 2

Colorado (13-9-3) at Tampa Bay (14-9-3), 7:30 p.m., RDS

The Lightning's goaltending is such a disaster I'm waiting for them to send in the National Guard.

Tampa Bay 5, Colorado 3

Minnesota (11-11-3) at Dallas (15-8-1), 8 p.m.

Still trying to figure out how the Stars are in first.

Dallas 4, Minnesota 3

Florida (10-14-0) at Phoenix (12-7-5), 8 p.m.

The Coyotes can't rely on the road team's fans to fill their arena like they often do this time.

Phoenix 2, Florida 1

Carolina (11-11-3) at Nashville (11-8-5), 8 p.m.

Can we fly in Carolina's ice girls for this one? It'd give us a reason to watch.

Carolina 4, Nashville 2

St. Louis (12-9-3) at Edmonton (9-12-4), 10 p.m., CBC

The Blues are only five points ahead of the Oilers. Remember when St. Louis was good?

St. Louis 3, Edmonton 2

Detroit (17-4-2) at Los Angeles (14-10-0), 10:30 p.m.

The old, the established, vs. the young, the upstarts.

Detroit 5, Los Angeles 2
